What is Magdeburg like?
Magdeburg is a medium-sized university town, with approximately 230,000 inhabitants. It is the capital-town of Saxony-Anhalt, one of the 16 German federal states. Magdeburg is situated on the banks of the river Elbe, right in the middle of Germany and about 150 km west of the capital city Berlin. It has a convenient public transport infrastructure, and the town is well suited for biking. Magdeburg has many trees and parks.
